HOW AND WHY WAS YOUR ORGANIZATION FOUNDED?TheFriendsFou ndation

The Friends Foundation, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization formed in 2003, is committed to helping the elderly in the greater Dripping Springs area. Patti Clark serves as President of The Friends Foundation.

WHAT IS YOUR PRIMARY MISSION?

We strive to enhance the quality of life for our area seniors by providing financial assistance and special programs, whether in a nursing home, an independent living center, or their own home.

imgres-1WHAT HAPPENS IN THE COMMUNITY THROUGH YOUR ORGANIZATION’S EFFORTS?

Our Daily Bread, a three day a week hot meal home delivery program, has served over 31,000 hot meals to the home bound elderly in the last eight years. The meals are prepared at Hill Country Care and are appropriate for each client’s dietary needs. It is not only the meal but the friendly face and a moment of personal visiting that is important to our clients. More…

WHEN WAS YOUR ORGANIZATION FOUNDED?
We have been operating in Dripping Springs since 2007. We are a part of the YMCA of Austin which was founded in 1953. Our Springs Family YMCA
Executive Director is Jason Daniel.

Our Mission is to put Christian Principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all. We are a dynamic association of men, women and children joined together by a shared commitment to nurturing the potential of kids, promoting healthy living and fostering a sense of social responsibility. We believe that lasting personal and social change can only come about when we all work together to invest in our kids, our health and our neighbors.
