Meet Christian Z: Four Star event planner Reply

Positive signs of growth are everywhere around Dripping Springs; signs like H-E-B, CVS, and Home Depot. One year ago, another well-known sign went up, heralding the arrival of a much-loved Austin original in the Dripping Springs area: Trudy’s Restaurant. This week, the local Trudy’s location celebrates its 1st anniversary, fittingly, on November 1st.

Each Trudy’s location has a distinctive name, like Trudy’s North Star, Texas Star, and South Star. The Dripping Springs location – Trudy’s fourth – is called Trudy’s Four Star, and is located at Highway 290 West and Four Star Boulevard (across from the Belterra entrance).

Last year’s grand opening on All Saints Day may not be mere coincidence. Surely, the Tex-Mex food & spirits saints were all smiling on Dripping Springs when Trudy’s owner, Gary Truesdell, decided to build the Four Star location here. Locals rejoiced and Trudy’s Four Star has slowly but surely been making its mark in the community ever since.

One of the reasons for that is events manager Christian Zertuche. Christian is an event planner’s event planner. He loves his job, and it shows! Just ask any of the hundreds of people who have already enjoyed events at Trudy’s Four Star, like rehearsal dinners, anniversary parties, birthdays, and banquets.

As the restaurant prepares to celebrate its 1st anniversary, Trudy’s Four Star has opened a private Rooftop Terrace that is available 7 days a week for these events. The Rooftop Terrace affords guests a great view of Hill Country sunsets to the west and south, and there is no rental fee for the space – the only rooftop party space of its kind around Dripping Springs. Zertuche says Trudy’s caters the Rooftop Events, and there is also a cash bar service available during private events.

To celebrate their 1st anniversary in Dripping Springs, Trudy’s Four Star and Zertuche invite the public – kids, too! – to the Rooftop Terrace for an Open House “Happy HourS”, from 5pm-10pm, on Saturday, November 3rd. Featured will be live acoustic music by popular local guitarist Tommy Mojica, and a complimentary 5-flavors salsa bar with chips & queso. A cash bar will also be available.

Zertuche hopes to meet as many locals as possible, and learn more about the kinds of events they would like to host. Here’s more about event planner Christian Z. and Trudy’s Four Star, in Zertuche’s own words:
