Save the Date: Pound House announces annual Fall Fest Pioneer Day Reply

A restored covered wagon, team, and costumed docent driver transport Fall Fest guests back in time on the grounds of the historic Dr. Pound Farmstead and Museum (“The Pound House”) in Dripping Springs.

For more than 20 years, the Dr. Pound Historical Farmstead has invited the community around Dripping Springs to come together at the annual Fall Fest Pioneer Day family event to celebrate local early Texas history. This year’s festival will take place on Saturday, September 22, 10am to 4pm ,on the historic grounds of the Dr. Pound Historical Farmstead (commonly called “The Pound House” by locals).

This full day pioneer-themed event transforms the farmstead grounds into an 1850’s era celebration. Most of the favorite features are back for festival-goers this year, including the popular, authentic period demonstrations, lots of fun and engaging pioneer games and activities for kids (think rolling hoops, corn husk dolls, and candle and soap making), plus live music, and a variety of delicious foods. Costumed docents are on hand to conduct the demonstrations and give guided tours of the historic home and grounds.
